Life of Luang Phor Jaran
Luang Phor Jaran Thitadhammo (หลวงพ่อจรัญ ฐิตธมฺโม), ecclesiastically titled Phra Rajsuddhinanamongkol, was born in 1928 (B.E. 2471) in Sing Buri Province, Thailand, and passed away on 25 January 2016 (B.E. 2559) at the age of 88. He was one of modern Thailand's most revered vipassana meditation masters and spent his life at Wat Amphawan.
Vipassana and the Teaching of Kamma
Luang Phor Jaran was renowned for spreading the practice of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness (vipassana), building Wat Amphawan into one of Central Thailand's most important meditation centers and guiding millions of practitioners over the decades. His accessible teachings on karma (kamma) — drawn from firsthand accounts of cause and effect — were so widely circulated that Thais honored him as the "Master of Kamma."
Discipline and Blessings
Known for his strict discipline and deep meditative attainment, Luang Phor Jaran emphasized blessings rooted in the Dhamma and moral conduct. Amulets he personally consecrated are prized for protection, resolving karmic debts, and cultivating merit — considered exemplary "white" (righteous) amulets, pure in energy and upright in meaning, and treasured by devotees in Thailand and abroad.
