What is the Luang Pho Sakorn Khun Paen 4th batch "Pha Pa" (Phra Khun Paen Luang Pho Sakorn Run 4 Pha Pa)?
Phra Khun Paen (พระขุนแผน) is named after Khun Paen, the handsome, brave and much-loved general of Thai folk legend, which is why Khun Paen amulets are worn above all for charm, popularity and attraction. Luang Pho Sakorn Manunyo (หลวงพ่อสาคร มนุญโญ) of Wat Nong Krub (วัดหนองกรับ), Rayong, is best known for his Khun Paen amulets.
The association certificate records this piece as "รุ่น 4 (ผ้าป่า)": the 4th batch, made for a Pha Pa (ผ้าป่า) merit-making offering ceremony, issued in B.E. 2546 in the large mold (พิมพ์ใหญ่), sacred powder with silver takrut. The batch comes in different powder colours; this piece has a pink powder body, which the supplier calls the "pink powder" version and lists as a less common variant.

Craftsmanship
The plaque has the roof-shaped outline typical of Khun Paen amulets, in the large mold. On the front the Buddha sits cross-legged on a lotus base between pillars beneath a leaf-edged arch, with a gold-toned surface overall. The back shows the pink powder body flecked with dark particles: "หลวงพ่อสาคร" at upper left, a full yantra at the centre with two silver takrut set side by side, and "วัดหนองกรับ" along the base. Traces of gold at the edges are a normal by-product of the finishing.
FAQ
Q: What does the certificate say?
A: The Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association formal certificate reads "พระขุนแผนหลวงพ่อสาคร รุ่น 4 (ผ้าป่า) พิมพ์ใหญ่ เนื้อผงตะกรุดเงิน พ.ศ. 2546": Luang Pho Sakorn Khun Paen, 4th batch Pha Pa, large mold, powder with silver takrut, B.E. 2546, from วัดหนองกรับ, ระยอง, No. P08283.
Q: What does "pink powder" mean?
A: Powder amulets take on different colours depending on what is mixed in, and collectors distinguish them by colour. This piece has a pink powder body, which the supplier calls the "pink powder" version.
Q: What are the tubes in the back?
A: They are takrut (ตะกรุด): small metal scrolls inscribed with incantations and rolled up, set into the amulet for added protection, a common feature of Rayong Khun Paen amulets. This piece has two, recorded on the certificate as silver takrut.
Q: Can I wear a powder amulet every day?
A: Yes, ideally in a waterproof case. Powder dislikes long soaking, so take it off for bathing or swimming.
Q: Who is it suited to?
A: People in business and sales, anyone who wants to be at ease with people and speak persuasively, those hoping for romance, and collectors of Rayong Khun Paen amulets.
Q: Why do I request first and pay later?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock. So that nobody pays for a piece that has already gone, we confirm with the supplier first and reply by email within 24 hours. If it is available, the email includes a payment link valid for 24 hours. Submitting a request costs nothing.
