Who is Luang Pho Sakorn?
Luang Pho Sakorn of Wat Nong Krub in Rayong is closely connected with Luang Pho Tim (หลวงพ่อทิม) of nearby Wat Lahan Rai, and carries on his Khun Paen tradition. According to the supplier, Luang Pho Tim gave Luang Pho Sakorn his own Kuman powder before he died, and that powder went into this 2543 batch; to bring the batch up to the standard of Luang Pho Tim's line, Luang Pho Sakorn spent five years gathering materials and blessed it for more than a year. Prices for Luang Pho Sakorn's Khun Paen keep rising among Thai collectors, and they are getting harder to find.

The familiar roof-shaped Khun Paen tablet in the large mold. The front is gold-coloured all over: the Buddha sits cross-legged on a lotus base beneath an arch with scrollwork, a ritual implement stands on each side, and a row of beads runs below the base. The back is pale powder with a natural yellow-green patina, a yantra at the centre with a metal takrut set vertically through it (labelled by the supplier as silver), script all around, and Thai lettering at top and bottom. Uncased.
FAQ
Q: How do I know it is the 2543 third batch, large mold?
A: The Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association formal certificate reads "พระขุนแผนหลวงพ่อสาคร รุ่น 3 พิมพ์ใหญ่ เนื้อผง พ.ศ. 2543": Luang Pho Sakorn Khun Paen, third batch, large mold, sacred powder, B.E. 2543, temple "วัดหนองกรับ", No. P01585.
Q: What is the takrut in the back?
A: A takrut (ตะกรุด) is a small metal scroll inscribed with incantations and rolled up, set into the back of the amulet for added protection; it is a common feature of Rayong Khun Paen amulets. The supplier labels this one as silver; the certificate does not state the takrut's metal.
Q: Can I wear a powder amulet every day?
A: Yes, ideally after fitting a waterproof case. Powder dislikes long soaking, so take it off for bathing or swimming.
Q: Who is it suited to?
A: People in business and sales, anyone who wants to be at ease with people and speak persuasively, those hoping for romance, and collectors of Rayong Khun Paen amulets.
Q: Why do I request first and pay later?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock. So that nobody pays for a piece that has already gone, we confirm with the supplier first and reply by email within 24 hours. If it is available, the email includes a payment link valid for 24 hours.
