What is the Luang Pu Doo B.E. 2517 first-batch Brahma (Phra Phuttha Nuea Phrom Luang Pu Doo Run Raek)?
Phra Phrom (พระพรหม), the four-faced Brahma, is worshipped in Thailand as a deity who answers sincere wishes and protects career and safety. Luang Pu Doo (หลวงปู่ดู่) of Wat Sakae (วัดสะแก), Ayutthaya, gave his Brahma a distinctive twist: a Buddha sits on top of Brahma's head. The Thai name "พระพุทธเหนือพรหม" means "the Buddha above Brahma", expressing the Dhamma standing above all the gods.
"รุ่นแรก" means first batch. It was issued in B.E. 2517 in large and small molds; this is the large mold (พิมพ์ใหญ่) in sacred powder (เนื้อผง). The surface carries a yellow glaze that the supplier lists as original, meaning it dates from the time of issue and has not been re-coated.

Who is Luang Pu Doo?
Luang Pu Doo of Wat Sakae in Ayutthaya is known for meditation and for teaching devotees to recollect the Buddha and take refuge in the Triple Gem. He made relatively few amulets, so each of his batches is valued by Thai collectors. His "Buddha above Brahma" design, placing the Buddha on Brahma's head, reflects that Triple Gem-centred teaching. According to the supplier, Thai collectors often mention Luang Pu Doo alongside a few other masters renowned for Brahma amulets, and some devotees hold that he was a reincarnation of Luang Pu Thuat.

Craftsmanship
A rectangular plaque. Inside the recessed frame on the front, Brahma wears a crown topped by a seated Buddha, with a halo behind and several arms holding emblems, seated on a pedestal; round yantra seals run along the sides and top. The whole piece is glazed yellow, pooling orange-brown in the recesses, and the side shows the thickness of the glaze coat. The back is plain, with natural crazing and orange-brown toning typical of a fifty-year-old glaze.
FAQ
Q: How do I know it is the Luang Pu Doo first batch, large mold?
A: The Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association formal certificate reads "พระพุทธเหนือพรหมหลวงปู่ดู่ รุ่นแรก พิมพ์ใหญ่ เนื้อผง พ.ศ. 2517": Luang Pu Doo Buddha-above-Brahma, first batch, large mold, sacred powder, B.E. 2517, temple "วัดสะแก", province "พระนครศรีอยุธยา", No. P05780.
Q: What does "original glaze" mean?
A: It is the supplier's description: the yellow glaze is from the time of issue and has not been touched up. In the photos, the crazing and toning on the back look natural and consistent with old glaze.
Q: Can I wear a powder amulet every day?
A: Yes, ideally in a case. Powder dislikes long soaking, so take it off for bathing or swimming, and protect the glaze from knocks.
Q: Who is it suited to?
A: Business owners and team leaders, anyone seeking career progress and standing, and collectors of Luang Pu Doo and Ayutthaya amulets.
Q: Why do I request first and pay later?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock. So that nobody pays for a piece that has already gone, we confirm with the supplier first and reply by email within 24 hours. If it is available, the email includes a payment link valid for 24 hours.
