What is the Luang Pu Hmun double-dragon portrait coin, retro edition (Rian Mangkon Khu Luang Pu Hmun Run Yon Yuk)?
Luang Pu Hmun Thitasilo (หลวงปู่หมุน ฐิตสีโล), known to Chinese collectors as "Luang Pu Moon", was a revered monk of Wat Ban Jan (วัดบ้านจาน) in Sisaket, northeastern Thailand. A portrait coin (เหรียญ / Rian) is a struck metal medal bearing the master's own image, and "double dragon" (มังกรคู่) refers to the two dragons encircling the portrait. It is one of the most popular designs among his amulets.
"ย้อนยุค" means a retro or throwback edition. The association's certificate records this piece as "เหรียญมังกรคู่หลวงปู่หมุน รุ่นย้อนยุค เนื้อทองแดง พ.ศ. 2561" from "วัดเวฬุวัน", Sisaket: a B.E. 2561 retro edition following the double-dragon design, a separate issue from the earlier original.

Who was Luang Pu Hmun?
Luang Pu Hmun was one of the longest-lived Thai monks of modern times, living past a hundred. He was known for ascetic practice and decades of wandering study under many teachers, and only began blessing amulets in large numbers late in life, which is why his pieces are so sought after in Thailand and abroad, chiefly for changing fortune, wealth and career. His portrait and classic designs have since been used by various temples for commemorative and retro issues; this coin is Wat Weluwan's retro edition.

Craftsmanship
An irregular shield shape with a loop at the top and a rope border. The front shows Luang Pu Hmun's half-length portrait, lean-faced, with clear detail in the robe and prayer beads, and "หลวงปู่หมุน" cast below; two dragons rise from a lotus at the base and curve up either side to a Dhamma wheel at the top, with a small round seal to the right. The back has a yantra of three tails and linked hearts with Thai yantra letters, another tail below, and "วัดเวฬุวัน ต.พยุห์ อ.พยุห์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ พ.ศ.๒๕๖๑" around the left, bottom and right edges. The copper is a deep reddish brown with natural oxidation in places. It is currently uncased.
FAQ
Q: How does this relate to the original double-dragon coin?
A: Same design, different issue. The certificate records it as "รุ่นย้อนยุค" (retro edition), B.E. 2561, from วัดเวฬุวัน, and the back is cast with "พ.ศ.๒๕๖๑" and Wat Weluwan's address, so the certificate and the coin agree.
Q: How can I verify the certificate?
A: The Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association formal certificate reads "เหรียญมังกรคู่หลวงปู่หมุน รุ่นย้อนยุค เนื้อทองแดง พ.ศ. 2561", temple "วัดเวฬุวัน", province "ศรีสะเกษ", No. CO03482, barcode GJ10-5BB6B, issued 13 October B.E. 2569 (2026), with a QR code for verification. The last product photo shows the card together with this coin.
Q: Can I wear a copper coin every day?
A: Yes. A case is recommended to avoid scratches. Do not scrub it with cleaners; the natural patina is part of its character.
Q: Who is it suited to?
A: People in business and sales, anyone hoping to lift their career and luck, and collectors who like Luang Pu Hmun's double-dragon design.
Q: Why do I request first and pay later?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock.
