What is the Luang Pho Sothon gold miniature (หลวงพ่อโสธร เนื้อทองคำ)?
Luang Pho Sothon (หลวงพ่อโสธร), also called Phra Phuttha Sothorn, is the seated meditation Buddha enshrined in the main hall of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan (วัดโสธรวรารามวรวิหาร) in Chachoengsao, and is known to virtually everyone in Thailand. Popular tradition says the image floated down the river to the temple, which is why it is nicknamed "the Buddha who swam". The temple draws enormous crowds and generous donations and is often described as one of the richest temples in Thailand.
Wat Sothon has issued many sacred objects modelled on Luang Pho Sothon. This piece belongs to the B.E. 2550 "Udom Chok Phok Sap" (อุดมโชคโภคทรัพย์) batch, a name meaning abundance, good fortune and plentiful wealth. It is a small three-dimensional seated figure in gold that can be cased and worn.

FAQ
Q: How do I know it is gold?
A: The Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association formal certificate reads "หลวงพ่อโสธร รุ่นอุดมโชคโภคทรัพย์ เนื้อทองคำ พ.ศ. 2550": Luang Pho Sothon, Udom Chok Phok Sap batch, gold, B.E. 2550, from "วัดโสธรวรารามฯ", Chachoengsao (ฉะเชิงเทรา), No. K06998. The supplier lists it as solid gold; the certificate states gold but does not give a purity grade.
Q: How do I wear such a small figure?
A: Have an amulet shop fit a waterproof case of the right size, then wear it alone or alongside other amulets. Gold does not tarnish, so daily wear is fine.
Q: Who is it suited to?
A: Business owners and company founders, anyone building a career, those praying for their family's safety, and collectors of Wat Sothon pieces.
Q: Is this the image from the temple hall?
A: No. It is a miniature cast in the likeness of the Luang Pho Sothon enshrined in the main hall and issued by Wat Sothon as a sacred object.
Q: Why do I request first and pay later?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock. So that nobody pays for a piece that has already gone, we confirm with the supplier first and reply by email within 24 hours. If it is available, the email includes a payment link valid for 24 hours.
