A Large-mold Phra Khun Paen (พระขุนแผน พิมพ์ใหญ่) in sacred powder, issued in B.E. 2568 (2025) by Wat Laharn Rai, Rayong — Luang Phor Tim Issariko's own temple — to mark the master's 146th birth anniversary. Worn for charm, popularity, wealth and support from influential people. Pre-mounted in an Italian gold case with a rhinestone frame, each piece with its own Certificate of Authenticity. Two pieces available.
1. What is a Khun Paen amulet (Phra Khun Paen / พระขุนแผน)?
Khun Paen is the hero of the Thai literary epic Khun Chang Khun Paen — a brilliant, charismatic general who won hearts wherever he went. For centuries, Khun Paen amulets have been Thailand's go-to amulet for charm, popularity and good fortune in business.
Of all Khun Paen amulets, the Khun Paen Phrai Kuman (ขุนแผนผงพรายกุมาร) made by Luang Phor Tim between B.E. 2515 and 2517 is the most famous. It sold out on release, early originals now sell for more than many century-old amulets, and collectors widely regard it as the "King of Khun Paen."

2. Who was Luang Phor Tim?
Luang Phor Tim Issariko (หลวงปู่ทิม อิสริโก, 16 June 1879 – 16 October 1975) founded and led Wat Laharn Rai in Rayong. He lived to 96 with 69 years in robes, ate one meal a day and kept a vegetarian diet for nearly five decades, and was honored with the ecclesiastical title Phra Khru Bhavana Bhirat. His Khun Paen Phrai Kuman and Chinabanchorn amulets remain among the most sought-after in eastern Thailand.
3. Traditional blessings
- Charm and popularity — people warm to you
- Wealth — favoured by traders and salespeople
- Support from influential people — bosses, clients, partners
- Career success — negotiations, deals, job seeking
- Protection — the Buddha image guards the wearer
Note: an amulet supports the wearer's own practice and is not a guarantee of results. Keeping the Five Precepts strengthens the connection.
4. Craftsmanship
The front shows the classic Khun Paen design: the Buddha seated in meditation on a double lotus base beneath a pointed arch, flanked by pillars and scroll motifs, in crisp, deep relief. The powder has a warm golden sheen and fine texture. Each back is different: one is peach-orange sacred powder with two takrut (ตะกรุด) set side by side, the other green sacred powder; both are dotted with dark granules — visible sacred ingredients pressed into the mix, a detail collectors look for in powder Khun Paen. Mounted in an Italian gold case with a sparkling rhinestone front frame, engraved sides and bail — ready to wear.
5. FAQ
Q: Was this blessed by Luang Phor Tim himself?
A: No. Luang Phor Tim passed away in 1975. This commemorative edition was issued by his own temple in 2025 to honor his 146th birth anniversary and carry on his lineage — the most accessible way to own a Khun Paen from his line.
Q: How does it differ from the original Phrai Kuman?
A: Originals were made during the master's lifetime (B.E. 2515–2517), are extremely scarce and command very high prices. This piece follows the classic Large-mold design and comes from the same temple, with clear provenance.
Q: How do I verify the certificate?
A: Each piece has its own card — scan the QR code to verify. Issued 22 September B.E. 2569, signed by the association's president and vice-president.
Q: Can I wear it every day?
A: Yes. It is sealed in a waterproof case; we recommend removing it for swimming and avoiding knocks.
Q: How do the two pieces differ?
A: Same batch and mold, with matching fronts and rhinestone cases. The backs differ: one peach back with twin takrut, one green back. Leave a note to choose; otherwise we ship in stock order.
Q: Who is it for?
A: Business owners, salespeople, anyone whose work depends on relationships, those seeking more charm, and collectors of Luang Phor Tim amulets.
