What is the Luang Pho Sothon gold miniature?
Luang Pho Sothon (หลวงพ่อโสธร) is the seated meditation Buddha enshrined in the main hall of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan (วัดโสธรวรารามวรวิหาร) in Chachoengsao, and is known to virtually every Thai. Legend says the image floated down the river, which is why it is called "the Buddha who swam". The temple draws huge crowds and is often called one of the richest temples in Thailand. For the full story, see our Phra Sothon guide.

These are devotional beliefs. An amulet does not guarantee any outcome.
Craftsmanship and condition
A fingertip-sized seated figure. The gold has a fine matte sand finish. The case is a domed bell shape, its front rim set with a ring of clear stones (three larger at the top), its sides engraved with scrollwork, lined in red with a clear panel, and fitted with a ring.
FAQ
Q: How do I know the figure is gold?
A: The Association formal certificate names it "หลวงพ่อโสธร รุ่นอุดมโชคโภคทรัพย์ เนื้อทองคำ พ.ศ. 2550": Luang Pho Sothon, Udom Chok Phok Sap batch, gold, B.E. 2550, temple วัดโสธรวรารามฯ, Chachoengsao. Enter barcode GJ10-104D3 on the Association website to look it up. The card does not state a gold purity.
Q: Is the case gold too? Are the stones diamonds?
A: The supplier lists the case as solid gold, but the certificate covers only the figure. Neither the case metal nor the stones have been certified and we do not guarantee them; we describe the stones simply as clear stones.
Q: How is this different from the other gold Sothon of the same batch in the shop?
A: Both are B.E. 2550 Udom Chok Phok Sap gold miniatures. That one is uncased; this one is already set in a gem-set case and ready to wear. They are separate pieces, each with its own certificate.
Q: Who is it for?
A: Business owners and entrepreneurs, professionals building a career, anyone wishing for family safety, and collectors of Wat Sothon amulets.
Q: Why do I submit a request before paying?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock. To avoid taking payment for a piece that has already sold, we confirm with the supplier first and reply by email within 24 hours, with a payment link valid for 24 hours if it is available. Submitting a request costs nothing.
