What is the Luang Phor Pae Phra Somdej 87th birthday batch, small mold?
Phra Somdej (พระสมเด็จ) is one of the most recognisable Thai amulet forms: a rectangular tablet with the Buddha seated on a tiered base beneath an arch. Luang Phor Pae Khemangkaro (หลวงพ่อแพ เขมงฺกโร), abbot of Wat Pikulthong (วัดพิกุลทอง) in Sing Buri, issued many batches of Phra Somdej during his life.
"รุ่นอายุ 87 ปี" means the 87th birthday batch. Luang Phor Pae was born in B.E. 2448, so B.E. 2535 was the year he turned 87. "พิมพ์คะแนน" (Phim Khanaen) is the small-format mold. The supplier describes this piece as the gold-leaf version, and the photos show gold leaf on the front, back and edges.

FAQ
Q: How do we know it is the 87th birthday batch?
A: The Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association formal certificate reads "พระพิมพ์สมเด็จหลวงพ่อแพ รุ่นอายุ 87 ปี พิมพ์คะแนน เนื้อผง พ.ศ. 2535": Luang Phor Pae Phra Somdej, 87th birthday batch, small mold, sacred powder, B.E. 2535, from วัดพิกุลทอง in Sing Buri, No. P00799. The "๘๗" on the back matches.
Q: Who is the monk on the back?
A: Luang Phor Pae himself, shown in profile; "แพ" beneath the portrait is his name.
Q: Will the gold leaf wear off?
A: Gold leaf is a surface finish and thins with long rubbing; this piece already shows light wear. A case will protect it. Powder dislikes long soaking, so take it off for bathing or swimming.
Q: Who is it suited to?
A: Anyone seeking everyday protection, people who travel or drive a lot, business owners and office workers, and collectors of Luang Phor Pae Phra Somdej.
Q: Why do I request first and pay later?
A: This piece is held by a partner supplier rather than in our Bangkok stock. So that nobody pays for a piece that has already gone, we confirm with the supplier first and reply by email within 24 hours. If it is available, the email includes a payment link valid for 24 hours.
