Luang Phor Tim Issariko was born in B.E. 2422 (A.D. 1879) in Rayong Province. From childhood, he showed deep Buddhist affinity and studied scriptures and meditation under village elders. In B.E. 2449 (A.D. 1906), Luang Phor Tim was formally ordained at Wat Laharn Rai, dedicating himself to mastering ancient incantations and meditation practices. He studied under multiple renowned Thai masters, synthesizing the essence of both Northern and Southern Buddhist traditions, gradually developing his unique method of crafting sacred objects, earning renown throughout Thailand. After becoming the sixth abbot of Wat Laharn Rai, Luang Phor Tim greatly developed the temple, spreading its reputation across Southeast Asia. His sacred objects—including Kuman Thong, personal amulets, and Medicine Buddha images—are renowned for their miraculous efficacy and deeply treasured by devotees. In B.E. 2558 (A.D. 2015), the temple commissioned this vintage coin amulet to commemorate the master's merits, cast in red copper with Italian gold plating (gold-effect, not genuine gold), personally consecrated and blessed by Luang Phor Tim.
