Luang Pu Tim Issarigo (หลวงปู่ทิม อิสริโก), birth name Tim Gam Sri, was born on June 16, B.E. 2422 (A.D. 1879) in Laharn Rai village, Ban Kaeng District, Rayong Province. Recognized for his intelligence and devotion from childhood, at age 17 he began studying the Dharma under eminent monks under his father's arrangement. At age 19, he received full monastic ordination at Wat Thatkaow temple, receiving the Dharma name "Issarigo" (อิสริโก), meaning "One Liberated and Free." After ordination, Luang Pu Tim engaged in intensive forest meditation for three years, cultivating both meditative states and spiritual arts. He studied successively under Ajahn Lod, Ajahn Lem, and Ajahn Sai, mastering Thailand's traditional "Wijja" (Wijja) esoteric practices, ultimately achieving mastery of talismanic incantations and sacred object consecration. Returning from retreat, Luang Pu Tim came to Wat Laharn Rai in his homeland and assumed the position of abbot. For decades, he single-handedly undertook the temple's revitalization, observing impeccable precepts and drawing devotees from all directions through his profound spiritual power. In B.E. 2517 (A.D. 1974), to celebrate Luang Pu Tim's 96th birthday and 69th year of monastic life, the temple specially cast the "Charoen Phor Bon" (Prosperity and Blessings) commemorative series, featuring the "Five Directions Yantra" on the reverse and the master's compassionate seated meditation image on the obverse. This edition became one of the most sought-after high monk personal amulets in modern times, with authentic examples commanding prices of hundreds of thousands to millions of Thai baht. In B.E. 2557 (A.D. 2014), to propagate Luang Pu Tim's spiritual lineage, the temple re-struck the classic 1974 design—the very "Charoen Phor Bon Vintage" (ย้อนยุค) red copper amulet sold by our shop. These were consecrated at a grand blessing ceremony, continuing the legacy's spiritual power. On October 16, B.E. 2518 (A.D. 1975), Luang Pu Tim peacefully passed into Nirvana at Wat Laharn Rai at age 96. His relics remain enshrined at the temple, continuously honored by devoted pilgrims. To this day, amulets bearing Luang Pu Tim's name remain coveted by collectors worldwide, earning him the title "Thailand's Premier Modern Sacred Amulet Master."
