Luang Pu Tim Issarigo (หลวงปู่ทิม อิสริโก), lay name Tim Ngamsri, was born on June 16, B.E. 2422 (A.D. 1879) in Laharn Rai Village, Ban Kaeng District, Rayong Province. Recognized for his intelligence and devotion in youth, at age 17 he began studying Buddhism under a high monk at his father's arrangement. At age 19, he received full ordination at Wat Thatkaow, receiving the religious name "อิสริโก," meaning "one who is self-liberated." After ordination, Luang Pu Tim retreated into the forest for three years of intensive practice, cultivating meditation and spiritual arts. He studied under masters Ajahn Lod, Ajahn Lem, and Ajahn Sai, mastering traditional Thai "Wijja" (Wijja) esoteric practices, ultimately mastering the creation of sacred objects and protective incantations. Returning to his homeland, Luang Pu Tim took charge of reviving Wat Laharn Rai (วัดละหารไร่, Wat Laharn Rai), dedicating decades to rigorous discipline and profound spiritual power that attracted devotees from all directions. In B.E. 2517 (A.D. 1974), to commemorate Luang Pu Tim's 96th birthday and 69th monastic anniversary, the temple cast the เจริญพรบน (Auspicious Blessings Above) commemorative amulet series, featuring the "Five-Directional Yantra" on the reverse and the master's compassionate seated meditation image on the front. This series became one of the most sought-after high monk amulets in modern times, with authentic pieces commanding prices from tens of thousands to millions of Thai baht. The copper enameled version (เนื้อทองแดงลงยา) represents one of the highest-grade variants of the เจริญพรบน series, with hand-applied enamel coloring rendering the image more vibrant and dignified, deeply treasured by experienced collectors. In B.E. 2557 (A.D. 2014), the temple recast this classic design, consecrated through a solemn blessing ceremony, continuing its legendary spiritual lineage. On October 16, B.E. 2518 (A.D. 1975), Luang Pu Tim passed away peacefully at Wat Laharn Rai at age 96. His remains are enshrined in the temple, continuously visited by devotees. To this day, amulets bearing Luang Pu Tim's name remain highly sought by collectors worldwide, earning him the title "First Master of Modern Thai Sacred Amulets."
