Life of Luang Phor Derm
Luang Phor Derm Phuttasaro (หลวงพ่อเดิม พุทฺธสโร) was born on 6 February 1861 (B.E. 2403) in Nakhon Sawan Province and passed away on 22 May 1951 (B.E. 2494) at over 90 years of age. He spent his life at Wat Nong Pho and is honored as the "God of Nakhon Sawan."
The King of Sacred Knives
Luang Phor Derm was Thailand's most celebrated maker of ritual knives (Mitmor, มีดหมอ). The knives he consecrated are renowned for warding off evil, dispelling misfortune, and enhancing authority — classics of Thailand's fierce, protective sacred objects, and treasures still sought after by collectors today.
A Far-Reaching Lineage
Luang Phor Derm had many disciples and a far-reaching lineage, including later masters such as Luang Phor Jaran of Wat Amphawan, with an enormous influence on the transmission of modern Thai amulets and sacred objects.
