Wat Nong Pho

วัดหนองโพ

Nakhon Sawan大宗派

About Wat Nong Pho

Wat Nong Pho (วัดหนองโพ) is located in Takhli District, Nakhon Sawan Province, Thailand — the home temple of the old-tradition master Luang Phor Derm Phuttasaro (หลวงพ่อเดิม พุทฺธสโร), and revered as the supreme hall of Thailand's ritual-knife (Mitmor) tradition.

Home Temple of the King of Sacred Knives

Luang Phor Derm (1861–1951), honored as the "God of Nakhon Sawan," was Thailand's most celebrated maker of ritual knives (Mitmor). The knives he consecrated are renowned for warding off evil, dispelling misfortune, and enhancing authority — classics of Thailand's fierce, protective sacred objects.

A Far-Reaching Lineage

Luang Phor Derm had many disciples and a far-reaching lineage, including later masters such as Luang Phor Jaran of Wat Amphawan. The knives and objects transmitted through Wat Nong Pho remain treasures highly sought after by Thai collectors and devotees today.
