Luang Phor Khun Phra Kring (พระกริ่ง, often called the Medicine Buddha by Chinese-speaking collectors), "Ku Khun Si Song Rak Hai Ruay" batch (รุ่นกูคูณศรีสองรักให้รวย), made at Wat Ban Rai, Nakhon Ratchasima, in B.E. 2536 (1993): a free-standing seated figure in copper (เนื้อทองแดง). Thais call Luang Phor Khun the "living god of wealth", and his amulets are known for wealth and protection from danger. The Buddha sits on a double lotus base holding a medicine bowl, the other hand touching the earth, with prayer beads across the body; the back of the base carries the master's monastic name "ปริสุทฺโธ". Thirty years of age have given the copper a natural patina. Certified by the Thai Buddha Image Admiration Association, formal card No. K11577 with a QR code. Mounted in an engraved silver-tone case (listed by the supplier as solid silver), ready to wear. One piece only; it is held by a partner supplier, so please submit a request and we confirm availability by email within 24 hours.
What is the Luang Phor Khun Phra Kring (Phra Kring Luang Phor Khun)?
A Phra Kring (พระกริ่ง) is a traditional Thai cast Buddha figure, seated in meditation and holding a medicine bowl. Its form comes from the Medicine Buddha, which is why Chinese-speaking collectors call it the "Medicine Buddha". "Kring" refers to the sound of a bell: traditionally a small pellet is sealed inside so the figure rings when shaken. The Medicine Buddha stands for healing and well-being.
Luang Phor Khun Parisuttho (หลวงพ่อคูณ ปริสุทฺโธ) was the revered abbot of Wat Ban Rai (วัดบ้านไร่), Nakhon Ratchasima. This piece belongs to the B.E. 2536 "Ku Khun Si Song Rak Hai Ruay" batch (รุ่นกูคูณศรีสองรักให้รวย); "hai ruay" in the batch name means "may you be prosperous". Our shop also lists a gilded Luang Phor Khun Phra Kring from B.E. 2548; the two differ in year, batch and material.

Craftsmanship
A free-standing cast copper figure. The Buddha, with curled hair, sits cross-legged on a double lotus base, the left hand holding a medicine bowl in the lap and the right hand resting over the knee in the earth-touching gesture, with a string of prayer beads across the body. The curls and beads continue round the back, and the rear of the base is inscribed with the master's name "ปริสุทฺโธ". The copper is a deep brown with old oxidation in places. It is mounted in an engraved silver-tone case with a hanging loop.
