About Wat Ban Rai
Wat Ban Rai (วัดบ้านไร่) is located in Dan Khun Thot District, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) Province, Thailand. Once a small monastery, it became famous nationwide through its legendary contemporary master Luang Phor Khun Parisuttho (หลวงพ่อคูณ ปริสุทฺโธ) and was developed into a magnificent large temple.
Home Temple of the People's Wealth Monk
Luang Phor Khun was one of Thailand's most beloved monks, known as the "People's Wealth God," famous for his down-to-earth manner and his blessing given while squatting casually. A lifelong philanthropist, his amulets are renowned for wealth, protection, and success, holding immense prestige in Thailand and among overseas Chinese communities.
A Grand Artistic Sanctuary
Wat Ban Rai's landmark is the enormous ceramic "Thep Wittayakhom Vihara," blending Thai art with Buddhist philosophy — a celebrated pilgrimage and tourist destination in Korat. Luang Phor Khun objects blessed here carry the deep blessing power of this beloved master.
