A large-size Khun Paen Phrai Kuman (พระขุนแผนพรายกุมาร รุ่นบรรจุหัวใจหลวงปู่ทิม องค์ใหญ่) in sacred powder, issued in B.E. 2557 (2014) by Wat Laharn Rai, Rayong — Luang Phor Tim Issariko's own temple — with two copper takrut (ตะกรุด) embedded in the back. The design closely follows Luang Phor Tim's B.E. 2517 original, known to collectors as the "King of Khun Paen." Mounted in a fully engraved Italian gold case, each piece with its own Certificate of Authenticity. Two pieces available.
1. What is the Khun Paen Phrai Kuman?
Khun Paen is the hero of the Thai epic Khun Chang Khun Paen — a brilliant, charismatic general who won hearts wherever he went. Khun Paen amulets are Thailand's go-to amulet for charm, popularity and good fortune in business.
The Khun Paen Phrai Kuman that Luang Phor Tim made in B.E. 2515–2517 sold out on release. Early originals now sell for more than many century-old amulets, and collectors call it the "King of Khun Paen."
In B.E. 2557, Wat Laharn Rai issued the "Banju Hua Jai" edition in the temple's own name, with a newly carved mold close to the 2517 original; some pieces have takrut set into the back, and proceeds went to the temple. This is a large-size piece with twin takrut.

2. Who was Luang Phor Tim?
Luang Phor Tim Issariko (หลวงปู่ทิม อิสริโก, 16 June 1879 – 16 October 1975) founded and led Wat Laharn Rai in Rayong. He lived to 96 with 69 years in robes, ate one meal a day, kept a vegetarian diet for nearly five decades, and held the title Phra Khru Bhavana Bhirat. His Khun Paen Phrai Kuman remains one of the most sought-after amulets in eastern Thailand.
3. Traditional blessings
- Charm and popularity — people warm to you
- Wealth — favoured by traders and salespeople
- Support from influential people
- Protection — takrut are among Thailand's most traditional protective charms
- Safe travels
Note: an amulet supports the wearer's own practice and is not a guarantee of results. Keeping the Five Precepts strengthens the connection.
4. Craftsmanship
The front shows the classic Khun Paen design: the Buddha seated on a lotus base beneath a pointed arch with scroll pillars, crisply carved, in creamy sacred powder with fine visible granules. The back carries Luang Phor Tim's yantra and Khom script, signed "วัดละหารไร่ ระยอง", with two copper takrut set side by side in the centre. Large size with real wrist-to-chest presence. The Italian gold case is fully engraved on the back and sides, with bail — ready to wear.
5. FAQ
Q: Was this blessed by Luang Phor Tim himself?
A: No. He passed away in 1975. This is his temple's 2014 edition based on the original design, with proceeds going to the temple — a certified, accessible way to own a Khun Paen Phrai Kuman from his line.
Q: What do the takrut do?
A: Takrut are rolled metal scrolls inscribed with sacred script, traditionally worn for protection. Combined with a Khun Paen for charm and wealth, this piece covers both.
Q: Are the two pieces different?
A: Same batch, mold and material, and they look virtually identical. Each has its own certificate; leave a note if you'd like a specific card number.
Q: How do I verify the certificate?
A: Scan the QR code on the card. Issued 22 September B.E. 2569, signed by the association's president and vice-president.
Q: Who is it for?
A: Business owners, salespeople, networkers, frequent travellers wanting protection, and Luang Phor Tim collectors.
